BOSS Awards Evening

At the recent BOSS awards evening the much debated club captain issue was settled. George Morris was voted Senior boys captain with Jonathan Sayer being vice captain. The senior girls captain went to Tia Hazleton and the two junior club captains are Harry Payne and Alexa Foster-Carter.

As well as this, the Top Boy and Top Girl awards were announced and went to Harry Payne for his impressive year topped with good National Championship results. The Top "Girl" is a very loose term as it went to Lucy Hodges who had a brilliant year swimming at the DSE National Championship. Swimming in the S12, SB12, SM12 Lucy broke both 100m and 50m breaststroke British records.

The most improved swimmer award this year was shared, as it was impossible to separate friends and swimming partners Katie Collins and Abigail Renyolds who were more than happy to share the award.

Club SX

The club is proud to announce that it has acheived the Club SX  accreditation.

Statements from the Club SX web site:-
"Club SX is the Club Accreditation Scheme for Sports clubs in Essex. The scheme has proved extremely popular since its launch last year, and was set up to ensure that quality sports clubs receive the recognition they deserve."

"Club SX is a new accreditation scheme for sports clubs in Essex. It has been designed to recognise high quality clubs with the county and acts as a stepping stone to governing body/Active Sports accreditation schemes. It also enables smaller clubs to be recognised and provides an award for sports that are ineligible for other accreditation schemes."
